Why become a member? As a Marine you know that the only other people who understand what it is to be a Marine is another Marine.
Footnote from the Web Sergeant: It took me more than 40 years to finally get back to the fold, come on by and see what we are all about. I for one am very glad I did. Finally there are those that understand what it is all about and what held me back for all those years. We don't sit around and swap war stories, although I am sure we could. We do remember our fellow Marines and Service Members present and past. We do honor those that have served - as we say, Semper Fi! That says it all!
MCL MEMBERSHIP ELIGIBILITY
Basic Requirements for Membership:
Have served on active duty in the USMC for not less than 90 days.
Have served as a U.S. Navy Corpsman assigned to a USMC FMF
Unit for not less than 90 days.
Have received & in Your possession a HONORABLE DISCHARGE.
Have in Your possession a Legible copy of Your DD-214
Must answer YES or NO to the Question:
HAVE YOU EVER BEEN CONVICTED OF A FELONY?
Complete an Application for Membership & bring to a monthly
meeting (3rd Tues. 7pm, Legion Hall, Southington) with Your
Honorable Discharge & DD-214
New Members Fee is $30.00 yr. / Renewals are $25.00 yr.
